​The Send the Word Initiative unites artists across the country in a shared mission: to prayerfully hand-paint Bibles that will be given free of charge to people who may never have owned one before. Each Bible is transformed into a unique work of art, not to draw attention to the artist, but to reflect the beauty of the Gospel and invite someone to open the pages within.

When was the last time you sat and thought about how terrifying God is? Yes, you read that correctly: terrifying. God is terrifying. Not the skin-crawling, dark terror of a horror movie; not at all! But the awe-inspiring, respect-demanding, obedience-deserving kind of terror that comes from being entirely and completely holy. We live in a culture that cares very little for respect, and because of this, the modern Church is forgetting the terror of God’s majesty.

The parable of the talents is one most Christians are familiar with, and one I’ve referenced here before. But I want to return to it because it holds such relevance regarding the Majesty Project and our ministry. Although the biblical word talent refers to the monetary currency of the time, I find the word particularly appropriate when considered in this context.
