The Good News of Jesus Christ

1. God’s Love and Design

God created us to know Him and live in relationship with Him. Everything began with His love and purpose.

Genesis 1:27 (NIV)
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

John 3:16 (NIV)
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God’s design was perfect—life, love, and harmony with Him.

2. The Problem – Sin Broke Our Relationship

We chose our own way instead of God’s, and sin entered the world. Sin separates us from Him.

Romans 3:23 (NIV)
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Isaiah 59:2 (NIV)
“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”

Sin leads to separation, guilt, and death — both physical and spiritual.

3. The Consequence of Sin

Because of sin, we face death and judgment. We cannot fix this ourselves.

Romans 6:23 (NIV)
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Hebrews 9:27 (NIV)
“Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”

We deserve death, but God offers a way of life through Jesus.

4. God’s Rescue – Jesus Christ

God loved us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to live the perfect life we couldn’t and to take our punishment on Himself.

Romans 5:8 (NIV)
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

1 Corinthians 15:3–4 (NIV)
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”

Jesus died in our place and rose again, proving His power over sin and death.

5. The Invitation – Turn and Believe

God invites each of us to turn from sin and put our faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Mark 1:15 (NIV)
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

Romans 10:9–10 (NIV)
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Salvation is not earned—it is a gift received by faith.

6. The Result – New Life and Relationship with God

When we trust Jesus, God forgives our sins, gives us His Spirit, and makes us new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Ephesians 2:8–9 (NIV)
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

We are restored to God and begin a new life in His presence.

7. The Promise – Eternal Life

Through Jesus, we have the hope of eternal life—forever with God.

John 14:6 (NIV)
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

1 John 5:11–12 (NIV)
“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Eternal life begins now and continues forever.

8. How to Respond – A Simple Prayer

You can respond to God’s invitation today through prayer—honestly talking to Him from your heart.

Revelation 3:20 (NIV)
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

Sample Prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I know I have sinned and need Your forgiveness.
I believe You died for my sins and rose again.
I turn from my sin and invite You into my heart and life.

Thank You for saving me. I choose to follow You from this day forward. Amen.”

9. What’s Next – Growing in Faith

Faith is just the beginning of a lifelong journey with God.
Start growing by reading the Bible, praying daily, and connecting with other believers.

Reve1 Peter 2:2 (NIV)
“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”

Hebrews 10:24–25 (NIV)
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together... but encouraging one another.”

God will help you grow as you walk with Him each day.
