Ephesians 6:10–20 calls Christians to stand strong in the spiritual battles of life by relying on the power and protection of God. The passage says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes… For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Paul emphasizes that the Christian life involves real spiritual conflict, and believers are called to be vigilant, equipped, and grounded in God’s truth.
The “armor of God”—including the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit—symbolizes the resources God provides to resist temptation, stay faithful, and persevere. Ephesians 6:10–20 reminds us that victory comes not from our own strength but from reliance on Christ, prayer, and the Word of God. By standing firm in Him, we can face spiritual challenges with courage, knowing that God empowers and protects His children in every battle.
