By Him All Things

Colossians 1:16 reveals Jesus Christ as the ultimate Creator, affirming His divine authority over all things. This verse declares that everything—both in the physical and spiritual realms—was made by Him, through Him, and for Him. Jesus is not just a part of creation; He is the eternal Son of God through whom the universe came into existence (John 1:3). Everything we see, from the vastness of the heavens to the smallest detail of life on earth, exists because of Him. Even the unseen spiritual world—angels, thrones, dominions, and authorities—owes its existence to Christ. He is sovereign over all, and nothing is beyond His creative power.

Furthermore, all things were created for Him, meaning their ultimate purpose is to glorify and serve Christ. This truth gives meaning to our lives, as we were made to reflect His glory and live in relationship with Him. The entire universe finds its purpose in Christ, and apart from Him, nothing holds true significance. Whether in nature, history, or the spiritual order, everything exists to fulfill His divine plan. This verse reminds us that Jesus is not only the source of creation but also its ultimate goal—everything finds its true purpose and fulfillment in Him alone.
